ABOUT STROUD HANDBALL

The home of handball in Gloucestershire

Stroud Handball club was established in 2012, following the London Olympics.The club is widely successful across many age ranges and has received multiple awards. We run weekly mixed training based in Stroud for players of all abilities. We are Gloucestershire's number one handball club, with players from Stroud, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Cirencester and beyond.

Head Coach & Chair

MATT
DURBER

Matt was one of the founders of Stroud Handball Club in 2012 after being inspired by the London Olympics. Matt is heavily involved in coaching both seniors and juniors in the club, and also works in many local schools to help introduce Handball to more people. Matt was rewarded for his work by being named England Handball Male coach of the year in 2018.

With over 10 years of professional handball experience in Hungary Balazs uses his skills and
knowledge to improve our team and also would like to make handball more popular in the United
Kingdom.

Treasurer & Player

MARTA
ROZYNSKA-SANHA

Marta has been a member of Stroud Handball Club since May 2017 and took up the position of Treasurer in September 2018.  Originally from Poland, Marta spent several years living in Portugal, before moving to the UK in 2013. She has played handball since the age of 8, and loves the team spirit and fast pace.
